Is the Hatherine Tea Tree Pore Pack & 3 Step Nose Kit Set at RM11.90 really worth the time and money
Updated: Nov 13, 2018
I don't usually buy pore strips for my nose but recently when I looked into the mirror, I realized that my nose was really in a bad place. I desperately needed to clear the clogged pores that were filled with blackheads and whiteheads.
If you are wondering why there are 2 noses, it's because I managed to get my husband to try it too! While we share a few similar hobbies, his nose and mine are from two different worlds. His is like a gold mine where the pores run really deep and you will have to squeeze really hard to get the oil out. Mine on the other hand has many small whiteheads scattered close to the surface on the nose. Lets find out if the pore pack really works.
I usually expect pore kits to be a one step process but this pack has 3 steps that spans for a total of 30 - 45 mins. That's really long and tedious considering there are other one step pore strippers.
Fully explained steps and ingredient list.
Step 1 - Open the pores (15 - 20 mins). Honestly I don't see any difference, do you?
Step 2 - Extract the blackheads and whiteheads (10 - 15 mins). First, you have to wet you nose and place the strip with dry hands. Make sure to get the positioning down in one try if not you will end up like him with the strip being too high!
It was really satisfying to see so many little whiteheads coming out on the strip and I must say at this point, I'm pretty happy with the pack.
Step 3 - Moisturize (5 - 10 mins). This step was particularly soothing especially after the peeling of the strip.
Before and after photos. For him, even though some pores were cleared, it didn't make much of a difference. My nose on the other hand looked a lot cleaner even though there were obviously some pores left unclogged.
If you have lots of clogged pores on the surface, this pack will work for you. If your pores run deep, you may have to squeeze them by yourself. The 3 step process is rather tedious and I'm not sure if steps 1 and 3 were necessary. You could easily use steam to open the pores for step 1 and you could use any facial moisturizer that you already have to replace step 3.
For the price, it is on the pricier end with other pore packs containing multiple strips in one box while this pack was only intended for a one time use.
In conclusion, I would say that the pack did do its job but the price is a factor for consideration. Give it a try and see if it works for you!
