Road trips vs flying

Updated: Oct 22, 2018

Let’s face it, flying can get boring. Get to the airport 2 hours in advance, or even earlier for some people. Scan your boarding passes, get in, sit down, blah blah blah and you’re done.

Maybe buy some duty free stuff along the way, squeeze in the plane with annoying inconsiderate tourists, foreign talents, deal with random wailing and the like.

Nothing wrong with flying though, if you like that, it’s faster than driving just much less exciting.

But, if you have the time to slow down, you might find that the journey is also as important as the destination itself.

How often do you cruise down a long road with a golden sunset?

If you own a car, or knows a friend, family member who does, nothing beats moving along at your own pace and soaking up the sights along the way. Grab them and go along with your family, or just go alone if you're really adventurous.

Whatever you do, everyone should do it at least once in your life. It doesn’t have to be far.

Interact with locals and markets, sample inexpensive unique local fare along the way.

Stop anywhere you want. Smell the oceanic scents. Fresh, sea sprays that speaks of summer days diving into an azure sea.

Eat at a hard-to-reach cliff restaurant, listen to waves crash upon sun-kissed rocks and watch the long days that turn into warm, summer nights.

Whether you are Exploring abandoned hotel ruins..

Or just passing through the local towns and admiring the unique architecture..

Or passing by Ornate tourist-free temples…

Or maybe you just love posing for silly pictures..

Maybe you just like to spend more time with your vehicle, capturing it in the best light.. everyone should take the slow way more often.

Just make sure your vehicle is in good condition. Stay tuned for more articles on border crossings, recommended and reliable vehicles, preventive maintenance, routes, landmarks and more!
